Are you considering organizing a conference? or starting a new conference?
Think about requesting sponsorship from SIGART!
The organizer
conference manual provides all the information you need to start
a conference and to request in-cooperation or sponsorship from SIGART.
The manual includes a description of the criteria and rules to follow,
plus the various forms required.
In brief, a in-cooperation conference is a conference sponsored
by another organization. This arrangment implies no financial involvment
from the SIG, and it is easy to obtain, provided there is a reasonable
management structure and plans to handle the mechanics of the conference.
ACM requires that registration and proceedings fees will be the
same for ACM members as for other sponsoring organizations, and
there will be no differentiation in fees between academic and corporate
participant registration fees.
For information on how to apply for in-cooperation status visit
In-Cooperation
TMRF. The TMRF should be filled out and emailed to Ashley Cozzi
acozzi@acm.org.
A sponsored or co-sponsored conference is a conference for
which the SIG assumes financial responsibility. Proceedings have
to be copyrighted by ACM, unless specific agreements are in place
with the co-sponsors.
